ABOUT FLYING V FORGE

I am a native of Idaho, where I currently reside and build knives. I’ve been forging since the young age of fourteen. You could say I have always had a passion for ironwork. I became a full-time farrier at the age of twenty and went on to earn my Journeyman. I competed in forging contests throughout the Northwest, winning several competitions in Idaho, Oregon, and Montana. I have forty plus years of blacksmithing experience. If you’re doing the math, you are realizing that I am getting up there in years, but we will call it having ample experience.

I create, forge, and build 100% of your knife in my shop, making them one of a kind. I use 100% USA materials with the exception that some handles may be made from exotic wood. If the blade is made from Damascus, know that I forged the Damascus myself. My sheaths are handmade from leather to fit your knife.

My goal is to place a knife in your hand that will not only last a lifetime, but will be passed down through generations, along with the memories that have been made with it.
